Thanks for the clarification, but yeah. I actually am very familiar with Lolita fashion.
I just don’t believe in such stringent labels and rules for something as silly and superficial as the clothes one chooses to wear, you know? also esp with regards to Lolita it’s so classist to look down on people who can’t afford brand or good lace or w/e. not saying that those cheapo nylon and polyester Halloween costumes billing themselves as “Lolita” can call itself Lolita because Lolita isn’t a costume, but if someone is trying to dress Lolita in their everyday life and puts their own spin on it, I think they have a right to call it whatever they want.
I love my nice dresses as much as the next person, but it’s definitely not something everyone is able to afford or even cares about that much with regards to brand & we shouldn’t look down on them for it.
Sorry to soapbox- I just have a lot of issues with the online Lolita communities
